Reiki spans three degrees. Shoden or 1st degree is only the beginning of a beautiful path. You do not need anything to be attuned; there is no special equipment to buy. Just a readiness to learn.

You will learn some of the basics and be attuned. History and hand positions are amongst some of the interesting facts.

The 1st degree has four attunements takes no time and does not hurt!

It will reactivate the Universal Life Force in you and you are able to now give Reiki to your self and others.

The student is attuned and connected to the Reiki healing energy by me. I can attune at a distance so it does not matter where you are. You are then able to self treat and treat others. It deals mainly with the physical realm. There are four attunements at this level.

I personally like 21 days in between each level as a minimum, for you to self treat and Gassho every day. This also allows for you to balance yourself before considering taking the next level.
